Stonnington sizzles for Spring/ Summer

Stonnington's fashionistas were definitely treated to some amazing fashions last night when the City of Stonnington put on it's annual Spring Runway & Hall of Fame induction. The magnificent Malvern Town Hall was taken over by some of the most fashion forward brands the city of Stonnington has to offer and with over 30 brands participating we were delighted to see just what was on offer for the seasons to come.

Spring was definitely in the air and as the lights went down the crowd was excited to see just what these amazing brands had created for Spring/Summer 2012/13. 

Brands Bettina Liano, Conni Simonetti, Craig Braybrook, DOM Bagnato, Et Al, Fool, Hemden, Jack London, John Cavill, Leona Edmiston Vintage, Lisa Barron, Mathieu Salem, Nicolangëla, Spencer & Rutherford, Stevie, T.L Wood, Ted Baker, Trelise Cooper & Wayne Cooper teamed with Shoe & Accessories by IMP Jewellery, Kerrie Stanley, Midas, Mimco, Nine West, Novo, Oroton, Paris Kyne - Master Milliner, Peter Jago - Exclusive Hats, Steve Madden & Tilkah to show us just what is coming up for this coming season, and between the spring pastels and summer brights you can almost see the patterns paving the way to warmer days and days that just don't end.

Ted bakes up some goodies for Spring/Summer 12/13.

Walking up to the iconic Woolshed Pub in Melbourne's Docklands was made even better last night when we were greeted by two amazing new Mini Cooper's and a photographer who was begging to take our photo's inside them. As I jumped into the luxurious car I began to hear the crowd inside, and feel a sense of amazing energy. The picture was taken and as I walked up the stairs my senses started to tingle. It was clear that the champagne was flowing, the heaters were warming and everyone was ready to see just what Ted Baker had come up with for the upcoming Spring/Summer season ahead.

I walked into the elegantly decorated venue to find the fashionistas whom were everywhere, photographers whom were snapping up the fabulous fashions and waiters whose trays where filled with sweet bubbles. I was enticed over to a stand by the aroma's that were coming from it. Event partners MOR cosmetics had set up a stand filled with there new products and before long I found myself rubbing my hands in a Lychee hand wash that I would recommend to anyone. It wasn't long before the fashionable few took there seats and Millinery genius Richard Nylon took to the stage, in a fabulous purple suede blazer by Ted, to welcome all in attendance, and draw there attention to the runway, which by now was only seconds away.

A behind-the-scenes video of Ted Baker's newest fashion shoot came on screen and as it concluded the music started to pump, the crowd, who were filled with excitement, braced themselves, and in an instant an array of floral patterns, stunning gowns, beautifully tailored suits, and pastel coloured garments toped off with Richard Nylon's hats began to flow down the runway. As model after model from Melbourne's GIANT Management walked down the runway it was clear to see just why Ted Baker is such an influential designer globally.

Pier-ing Out!

Raww Video-ing!

Last night I got to ask the hard questions on camera for Baroq House Friday's new promo video, and my good friend Jesse Maricic (Rawwblog Photographer) was there to capture it all. As you can see from the amazing pictures below it was a great night, and a lovely video! I"ll be sure that you are the first to see it when it comes out!

Fantastic Four!

Today I was lucky enough to be the stylist for a back to back shoot, both held at the magnificent Middle Pier in Brighton, just behind the Brighton Sea Baths. The day started out nicely but with the winds turning mid-morning it was clear that we would need to battle the elements to get some good images.

Starting the day photographer Chaemus Macmillan began by shooting the trio of models, Dan Harris, Evan Spargo (London Management) and James Quinn (Scene Model Management) in a variety of locations along the mixed boardwalk location. Starting at the base on metal scaffolding the trio showed just why male models are so highly regarded, and as the day went on and the conditions hardened the trio seemed to bounce of each others energy and only went from strength to strength.

Lunch time was called due to the harsh conditions in weather and upon our arrival it was time to walk the length of the pier to the very edge to shoot Universal Music's newest talent Adam Hynes' 1st EP cover and book imagery. With the harsh conditions seeming to have calmed a fair bit, the images got easier to shoot, and with Adam's melodic singing and easy swift movements the shoot seemed to go a lot easier than planned.
